Other things I have done

2015-

One of my idols is actually the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew, I was honoured to be asked to represent my primary school Telok Kurau in a Channel News Asia segment to speak about his impacts on me. It was a short segment but it was definitely a meaningful experience to me. It helped me increase in confidence and introduced me to the world of public speaking

2019-

Another memory fond to me is my VIA project for the Golden Lily senior activity centre. My grandmother lives with me, to me I feel lucky that she is still around. The elderly is a group of people that I as a youth appreciate a-lot and so giving back to them was a *golden* opportunity ;) What my group and I had done was to make a product which helps the elderly train the hand eye coordination to ensure that their focus and memory does not deteriorate over the years. The product was very simple it was a board with poles protruding outwards and labelled by rows and columns, the player would pull out a card and stretch a rubber band from the pole labelled on the first card and draw another card for the second pole. It was a simple prototype which had a very pure benefit for the elderlies.

Besides that we had also played games with them there and taught them how to make bead bracelets and potato stamps

2019 & 2021

As part of my CCA, Concert Band, I had participated in 2 Singapore Youth Festivals as a Trombonists and was awarded the certificate of Accomplishment. I was also promoted to the rank of QuarterMaster and was elected as the Section Leader for the Trombone Section.
