Isyraf is a prominent member of the Student Council as the Deputy Director in Operations as well as a Quartermaster in his CCA, Concert band.
I have known Isyraf for two years in my capacity as one of the leadership teachers at Hai Sing Catholic School. During his time as the overall student leader in charge of Teachers’ Day Celebration 2020, we worked closely together under unique circumstances due to COVID-19 restrictions and yet he was unfazed by the challenges faced and would often come up with innovative ideas. The event was a huge success with many praises from the school staff and they thoroughly enjoyed the new and meaningful elements added to the celebration.
During the planning of the event, Isyraf was always receptive to feedback from teachers and tactful when communicating with his peers. He is a confident speaker who can lead group discussions with clear objectives and directions.
He also had participated in two SYF’s with his CCA, Concert Band in which he was paired with a section mate who had difficulties speaking English. As a senior, he stepped up and took responsibility to ensure that she was involved by finding ways to communicate such as using an Application to translate. As the quartermaster of the band, he worked with his teachers to ensure that all instruments were well-maintained to ensure successful performances.
Isyraf is a great addition to any team thanks to his sense of responsibility and amicable nature.
